Richard B. Pumilia, Partner

Richard B. Pumilia is a founding partner of the Firm, and chairman of the Firm’s corporate and business transactional practice.  He has practiced in this field since graduating from Rutgers Law School in 1984, and has managed the transactional practice of the firm since 1993.

He is a member of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyer Association.  For over 13 years, he was the leader of the original Pasadena group of ProVisors, an organization of senior-level professionals providing services to emerging and middle-market companies.  He remains active in that organization, which provides the Firm’s clients with additional legal and non-legal resources.

Richard graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Jefferson College, and with honors from Rutgers Law School, where he served as an editor of The Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal.  He maintains the highest peer rating available from Martindale Hubbell—AV Preeminent.

Paul D. Rosenberger, Partner

Paul D. Rosenberger is a partner of Pumilia & Rosenberger LLP, having been a principal in two successful law firms prior to his affiliation with the firm. Mr. Rosenberger has a diversified background in tax, estate planning, real estate, commercial finance and corporate transactions.

Mr. Rosenberger has represented borrowers and lending institutions in the areas of trade finance, real estate lending, loan documentation, securitization, letter of credit facilities, lender liability issues and collections. In addition, Mr. Rosenberger has been engaged in the negotiation and drafting of loan participation agreements and inter-creditor agreements between commercial lenders. Mr. Rosenberger’s practice has also covered a broad spectrum of tax matters.

Mr. Rosenberger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received his J.D. degree cum laude from Southwestern University School of Law in 1989, where he was a Research Editor on the Law Review.

Patrick J. Gorman, Of Counsel

Patrick J. Gorman is of counsel to the Firm.  Patrick is a business and transactional attorney who serves an international clientele with an emphasis on the entertainment industries.  His practice encompasses advising and representing clients on, drafting, and negotiating all manner of contracts; creating and structuring companies; advising on securities law compliance; handling rights transactions, such as those for life rights, books, and screenplays; providing comprehensive motion picture production counsel services; and intellectual property in the form of trademarks and copyright.

Mr. Gorman is currently an instructor in the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension program, having for the past fifteen years annually taught a course entitled “Organizing, Financing & Operating An Entertainment Production Company” that covers entertainment law and the legal aspects of television, film, and music industries.  

He is admitted to practice law in both California and Maryland. Mr. Gorman received his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University of Louisiana.
